This unique tiara was first seen in the 1984 production of The Last Days of Pompeii, where it was worn on Marilù Tolo as Xenia. It was seen again in the 2012 fourth season of The Tudors on Tamzin Merchant as Katherine Howard.  It was worn again later in the season on Joely Richardson as Katherine Parr.

What makes this jewelry set even more interesting, however, is that it is an exact reproduction of one worn by Napoleon’s sister, Caroline Bonaparte.  She can be seen wearing the pieces in an 1808 painting by François Gérard entitled Caroline Bonaparte, Queen of Naples, and Her Children.   The Tudors was known for reusing jewelry from other films, as well as renting out non costume jewelry from famous jewelers. It is not yet known if this jewelry set has appeared in an earlier Napoleon related film  or  television show for which it was custom made, or if it was merely available through a jeweler.
