| Michael Woulfe became the a designer at RKO in 1949, where he would eventually go on to serve as head designer on over 100 films.. In 1951 he was credited with the gowns for My Forbidden Past, where one of his beautifully beaded and finely detailed dresses appeared on Ava Gardner as Barbara Baurevelle. He used the piece again two years later in the 1953 film Affair with a Stranger, where it was worn on Jean Simmos as Carolyn Parker. Click the photos for an enlarged view of the details. |
